Photoshop's Creative Suite 5 (CS5) is its latest incarnation and is an upgrade from its already popular Creative Suite 4, or CS4. Some of the most popular and timesaving features include:
Content Aware Fill
Now, you can remove image elements you don't want with details that will match the surrounding area, tone and lighting of the main image. This allows you to "clean up" image is much more easily than was possible previously. This will save a significant time with any images that need a lot of "clean up," and your cleanup efforts will also look much more natural with much less work as compared to what you could do with Creative Suite 4.
Improved Edge Selection
CS5 has a lot of improvements in its "Refine Edge" feature, particularly in its ability for "Edge Detection."
HDR Pro
Now, you can have much more control over the merging process for HDR (high dynamic range imaging) as compared to its capability in previous versions; you can also choose and save style presets easily in CS5 once you have found an effect you particularly like.
Mixer Brush and Bristle Tips
CS has been somewhat lacking in painting features, but now, with its new "Mixer Brush and Bristle Tips" feature, you can blend colors much more easily. It has refinements such as how "wet" canvas colors are, as well as the mixing and load rates, and you can choose whether or not you want to brush tip "cleaned" after every brush stroke.
Puppet Warp
You will have fun with the "Puppet Warp" feature, with the ability to "pull or push" elements within an image; something to play with and experiment with.
